Megatronic Power Systems key personnel provided engineering for the Degrussa Copper and Goldmine. The full Electrical and Control System was designed to the client standards. The Infrastructure consisted of 4 electrical switch rooms, 130 drives, over 200 Profibus PA instruments, 5 PLC’s and a full SCADA system. The process itself had a primary crusher, two-stage SAG and ball mill grinding, Concentrate Regrind mill, copper floatation circuits, tailings thickening, pressure filtration, apron feeders and multiple conveyors, all programmed to vendor specific control philosophies.
Megatronic Power Systems key personnel provided engineering for the 2013 extension of Obuasi Goldmine for AngloGold Ashanti. The full Electrical, and Control System was designed to client standards. The Infrastructure consisted of 2 electrical switch rooms, 40 drives, over 60 instruments, 2 PLC’s and a full SCADA system. The design was completed in Perth, Western Australia and commissioned in early 2014.
Megatronic Power Systems key personnel provided engineering and commissioning for the RGP5 project for BHP at Yandi. The expansion saw the addition of a new Primary and Secondary crushing circuit and overland conveyors on the twin Eastern and Western fronts bringing crushed ore to the central processing stage at a rate of 10,000 tonnes per hour.
Megatronic Power Systems key personnel provided engineering and commissioning support for the Boddington Bauxite Mine for (originally BHP) South 32. The mine is one of the largest Bauxite mines and refineries in the world. The expansion saw the addition of a new Primary and Secondary crushing circuit and overland conveyor. There were upgrades to the 51km conveyor and a new 6km conveyor commissioned during these projects works.
